...restaurant on the move
Following a ceremony in the garden of Claire's parents' home at Orchard house, Efford, Hampshire, guests were greeted by a Maori Hakka group who performed a traditional dance to remind the bride of her New Zealand roots, before a reception held in a Bedouin marquee on the tennis courts. Provided by Bedouin Tents, the marquee incorporated carved wooden screening and a 'chill out' area of traditional low sofas and cushions, all decorated with artifacts, carvings and lamps. After a selection of canapes Red Herring Catering offered guests a starter of seared scallops with a snow pea and ginger salad, followed by a lamb main course. The white chocolate wedding cake provided by Linzi of Lymington formed part of the sweet along with strawberries dipped in dark chocolate and dusted with edible gold leaf. |
