Sam & James marry in Burley

July 22nd, 2006

Sam & James celebrated thier marriage this weekend with 150 of their family and friends at the family home in Burley. Guests were greeted on arrival with champagne blini's and canapes followed by a three course meal of smoked duc, sea bass and then our ever popular trio of sweets. As the sun set and evening progresed guests were treated to a pad thai noodles cooked to order!

"Dear Steve

I am writing to thank you for the truly wonderful work that you and your team did for us recently at my daughter Sam & James' wedding. We were confident from the start that you would serve us well but, believe me, you superseded our expectations. The food was faultless and your staff so professional. Plates bearing delicious morsels seemed to materialise from nowhere and then disappear just as mysteriously when everything was devoured.

Our congratulatory comments about the day are further borne out by the glowing letters from our guests, all of whom, without expectation, have commented that it was the best wedding food ever. By all accounts, the starter caused quite a stir, with tables taking bets as to what the actual main ingrediant was. Then, everyone was amazed at how you could cook and serve 157 plates of delightful sea bass to such perfection. And as for the dessert, there was obviously quite a competition developing as to which trio was the most delicious! The sweet stall was a real wow and brought out the child in even the most adult of guests. The cheese stall, although not quite where it should have been - it's position was hi- jacked by guests placing their gifts on it before it was set up! - was nevertheless much appreciated by all our fromage - lovers and sustained even the heartiest of eaters until........ the Pad Thai .......another great success, beautifully presented too. 

The same level of professionalism pervaded our barbeque on Sunday with your team quietly and efficiently organising the clearing of the tables from the previous evening before setting up an outside bar decked with roses from the wedding. The beautiful arrangement of the long table on the edge of the marquee and the presentation of the barbeque food in an informal way were exactly what we had asked for. Once again, the food was outstanding. 

It only remains for me to say that Ray and I had the most memorable weekend in celebration of Sam & James' wedding and this was due in no small measure to the excellent work of Red Herring. So, one final thank you to you and your team from us both. We, pluss 155 guests, will be shouting your praises from the rooftops forever more!
