Happy Birthday Phil

Many happy returns to Phil Appleby who celebrated his 50th birthday at Heywood Manor in Boldre, Lymington this week with the help of his friends and family.

Phil currently holds the record for the highest score ever achieved in a single game and competed in the 2007 World Scrabble Championships in India recently and although he did not bring home the trophy he still had plenty to celebrate.

Guests were greeted with canapes and drinks, followed by a choice of three different stir fry dishes, finishing up with Red Herring Catering's signature sweet; the miniature trio of lavender shortbread with raspberry panacotta, chocolate brownie and lemon tart.
