At Red Herring, we've been crafting exceptional events for over 20 years. Born from a deep-rooted passion for hospitality, Red Herring brings together decades of experience, a love of great food, and a flair for seamless service.
Red Herring was founded by Steve, whose career began in the bustling kitchens of London's West End. Working with a team of 25 chefs in Grosvenor Square, Steve climbed the ranks through every department in some of the capital's most prestigious hotels - eventually joining the senior management team of a 5-star property in Piccadilly.
Swapping city life for the charm of the New Forest, Steve joined his family to establish a successful country house hotel - now known as The Pig - before going on to open and run his own bar and restaurant in Wiltshire. It was during this time that Red Herring was born.
Since 1996, we've delivered unforgettable events across the South Coast, Home Counties and London, working in iconic venues, and catering for everything from private dinners to large-scale corporate occasions.
We're proud to be backed by a team of talented chefs and a creative, detail-driven events crew. Together we bring expertise, energy and a genuine passion for what we do to every celebration.
